Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan this year was hot and humid and certainly not ideal for dressing up! Kudos to these celebs, then, for braving the heat and putting their most fashionable forward in Eid festive-wear that was individualistic, classic, minimal, with not more than a dash of bling – because who can tolerate embroideries in this weather?!

These are my favorite celeb Eid looks:

Yumna Zaidi

Yumna Zaidi, elegant in a beige silk long shirt and pants set with buttons and lace details amped up by a printed dupatta, by designer Faiza Saqlain. Accessorizing with earrings and opting for minimal makeup, the look was timeless and Eid-perfect!

Zara Noor Abbas and Asma Abbas

Mother-daughter duo, actresses Zara Noor Abbas and Asma Abbas wore silk ghararas by Parniyaan By Ayesha, worked with dori embroideries and mirrors, and paired with chiffon dupattas. Zara’s was a lovely yellow print while Asma’s was sky blue and the two twirled together on Instagram – easy breezy, traditional, beautiful.

Zhalay Sarhadi

Zhalay Sarhadi looked fabulous, wearing one of Ansab Jahangir’s absolute winners this year: a silk long shirt, pants and dupatta set worked with red discharge print and hand embroideries. Zhalay accessorized with chunky traditional earrings. Perfect!

Aymen Saleem

Aymen Saleem oozed glam with a gorgeous shirt and shalwar set created by the one and only Shehla Chatoor. With delicate, standout hand embroidery worked down the length of the shirt as well as the sleek shalwar, it was the sort of outfit that would turn heads – at an Eid soiree, at a wedding, anywhere!

Madiha Imam

Madiha Imam rocked a sari, in blue, gold, black and white print, pairing it with a strappy blouse and elaborate statement earrings by Esfir Jewels. A great Eid look – and saris are definitely making a comeback (were they ever really gone?)!

Amar Khan

Amar Khan’s Eid outfit by Jugnu Lahore was vivacious, bright, bold, artistic – much like Amar herself. Accessorized with traditional jhumkas, Amar let her hair fall lose and opted for the smoky eye makeup that suits her so well. Minimal and unforgettable, it was the ideal look to pep things up on an Eid when the world at large was grumpy and dismal because of the heat.

Nausheen Shah

Nausheen Shah has always had a flair for fashion and she paired her teal blue lehnga, shirt and dupatta set by Mariyam D. Rizwan with gorgeous earrings by Ali Javeri Jewels. The summer-friendly updo and the light makeup were the final masterstrokes.

Anmol Baloch

Anmol Baloch looked absolutely princessy in an all-white design by Erum Jamal, worked with tone-on-tone white embroidery. She accessorized with a gold choker, gold bangles, gold khussas, bright red nail color and that luscious mane of hair!

Hania Aamir

She’s the country’s favorite sweetheart and she totally knows how to rock a sari. Hania Aamir opted for a printed sari by The Saari Girl in a cool, summer friendly palette of white blue and turquoise, tying her hair up and accessorizing with bangles and blingy, dangling earrings by Kazmi Jewels.

Kiran Malik

Kiran Malik, the eternal showstopper, wore a design by Iqbal Hussain in ivory and yellow, pairing the kameez, dupatta and sarong set with matching khussas, earrings and letting her hair hang straight and long. I want (doesn’t everybody?)!

Aima Baig

Aima Baig’s dupatta is everything – a soft canvas of light pink worked with flora in pink, purple, magenta! Paired with a matching light pink kameez shalwar set, the design by Fahad Hussayn was complemented by matching khussas and earrings.
