Powerful, edgy statements for women … tailored to perfection by one of the finest menswear designers in the country!
The Emraan Rajput atelier is recognized for its close attention to individual style and also, with the grandeur exuded by the shimmering pieces that are part of the brand’s festive line. Pushing boundaries and catapulting his brand to newer and more exciting levels, every now and then menswear virtuoso Emraan Rajput pulls out surprises that are standout. One such surprise is the latest Emraan Rajput line of classic and ultra modern Women Power Suit, where customized pieces have been created for a motley crew of women from various branches of Pakistan’s fashion industry.
In a fashion shoot that’s making waves, Amal Qadri, Werdah Ali, Erica Robin, Trinette Lucas and Jaweria Ali have all been captured wearing meticulously tailored power suits that were designed with fine precision according to each of their styles, in colors that would suit them.
“When my publicist [Schehrezade Rahim] and I sat and discussed what we wanted the shoot to look like, I imagined these five girls in one frame. Each of them has such a unique story and I wanted our first ever Women Power Suit shoot to reflect the woman of today,” says Emraan, reflecting on how the process began. He continues, “Women power suits are an untapped market that has become increasingly popular among the women of today and I was excited to push the envelope with my particular take on them.”
Styled by the immensely talented Amal Qadri, each of these girls were told to bring their own individuality to the shoot itself. “What was especially thrilling was getting to give this beautiful group of girls their own individual style that allowed them to shine,” says Qadri when asked how she simultaneously posed and styled the shoot.
Talking about how they felt doing the shoot, Erica Robin says, “I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a shoot that celebrates women’s empowerment. Working with a team that I have known for so long truly made the experience very special. Wearing a polished grey suit, the Miss Universe Pakistan contestant presents a slick, powerful look that is markedly different from the usual fashion imagery.
Model turned actor Trinette Lucas reflects on how each individual’s personal style was represented, saying, “Being part of this shoot was really special. There was a strong sense of individuality and unity at the same time.”
What we see is a true vision of celebrating women in their entirety. From a stylist turned muse to a creative director being at the forefront and not behind the scenes to models embracing their innate versatility, Emraan Rajput’s latest Women Power Suit shoot is cool, statement-making and nothing short of inspirational!
