‘Tis the season to spin Silken Dreams

With the winter festive season right around the corner, and lockdowns trying to slink their way out of our lives, most fashion aficionados are feeling the need for a wardrobe update. Come November/December, our calendars may just get filled by weddings, reunions, parties and so much more.  And to be honest, most of us haven’t had a festive wardrobe update since the pandemic hit.

Think luxurious silks, delicate embroidery, lots of colors and textures – the works! And when you want the works, there’s none other than Maria B who can bring the desi glitz that is bound to make you the center of attention.

Here are favorite looks from the brand’s recent unstitched SILK NET collection. The collection is Pakistan’s premier 100% hand woven, Pure Chinese Silk Net. There’s lots of detailed embellishments to liven up the luxurious fabric in a range of dreamy hues.

Pastel Sunset

This gentle Silk Net is graceful, classy and absolutely on trend. We love the delicate floral printed Silk Net shirt that can be embellished to our heart’s content with a range of add-ons that are included with the outfit. And the off white organza dupatta is stand out!

This could be a go-to outfit for an intimate day wedding or an evening office party. Also, gotta love the signature Maria B box packaging.

Darbari Green Ajrak

Paired with a Chinese Silk dupatta, the green hue is reminiscent of the block printed fabric of Sindh. The Silk Net shirt with delicate, understated embellishments could easily take your look from day to night. Just throw on some signature Maria B jhumkis, and you could go straight from family lunch to a friend’s dholki. This is definitely a timeless piece.

Scarlet Red Roses – Silk Net Collection

If you really want to turn heads, then this classy Silk Net collection outfit is your pick!

We love the motifs for the neckline that you can really play around with and use creatively.  And the pearl detailing on the lace for the sleeves is just so pretty!

The Silk Net material is particularly fascinating. Deep within Karachi’s age-old hand weaving markets, pure katan silk is woven on hand looms into a delicate net fabric, unfolding an exclusive unstitched collection that undeniably revives the hand loom industry of Pakistan. The utter decadence of the fabric becomes appreciable with embroideries that are fully hand embellished with adda work, luminous gotta work, and crystalline diamantes that let the luxury and refinement of this collection shine through.

Granite Grey

Creating a sophisticated mélange of grey and hues of earthy tones, this one is quite literally a sight for sore eyes with its classy touches. We think it’s perfect for the upcoming season where you can enjoy the subtlety of it all at a soirée. The silk net will do wonders with its sleek design and we bet you won’t be able to stop loving the delicateness of it all.

Daffodil Yellow

Yellow always makes such a pretty sartorial statement! The design elements used on this specific outfit make it one that adds oomph along with making a subtle, elegant statement. We particularly love how the silk net material shines through here and how the print complements its breezy nature perfectly.
